A partir un poema de Gonzalo Rojas, las piedras en su peso y materialidad. En un espacio mínimo – el marco de una ventana – las piedras se desbordan. Es el teatro donde se presentan estos personajes. El claroscuro juega un papel importante, pues las sombras y las luces iluminan dramáticamente el escenario, permitiendo que algunas piedras sobresalgan. La impresión “nocturna” de la estampa, en negativo como en la xilografía, acentúa la sensación teatral.

Inspired by a poem by the Chilean poet Gonzalo Rojas (1916-2011), the stones project themselves through their weight and substance. In a small space – the frame of a window – the stones overflow. It is a kind of theatre in which these characters are presented. Shadow and light dramatically illuminate the stage, allowing some stones to protrude more than others. The nocturnal sensation of the image – in negative, as if in a woodcut – accentuates the theatrical sensation.

C’est le théâtre où se présentent ces personnages.
