Este retrato se inscribe en dos series temáticas: una, en torno a la obra poética de Kavafis y otra, en un conjunto de retratos de escritores de mi preferencia: Lowry, Miller, Pessoa, García Lorca. El arte del retrato como búsqueda más allá de lo evidente, más allá del parecido: la efigie como símbolo, el espacio del grabado como un todo: cada detalle construye al personaje.

This portrait is inscribed in two thematic series: one, around the poetic work of Kavafis and another, in a set of portraits of poets and writers of my preference: Malcolm Lowry, Henry Miller, Fernando Pessoa, Federico García Lorca. The art of portraiture is a search beyond the obvious, beyond the resemblance. But also, there is the effigy as a symbol, the engraving space as a single whole: each detail building the character.

Ce portrait s’inscrit dans deux séries thématiques: l’une, autour de l’oeuvre poétique de Kavafis et l’autre, dans un recueil de portrait d’écrivains ayant ma préférence: Lowry, Miller, Pessoa, García Lorca. L’art du portrait comme une recherche au delà de l’évidence, au-delà de la ressemblance. C’est aussi l’effigie comme symbole, l’espace de la gravure comme un tout: chaque détail construit le personnage.
